Just 6kms from Corvara along the River Gran Ega, the Val Badia widens dramatically at Pedraces to produce the most idyllic pastoral scenery of the valley. Perched above the village in a lightly wooded area of chalets and other alpine dwellings, Haus Valentin looks across the river and over this scenery to the vast walls of the Fanes Massif. It arguably has the best view of any of our properties and you can spend hours on the sun terrace just gazing across the valley. This is especially inspirational in the evening when the sunset turns the rock flame-red.

Over the years, we have had many a sociable and pleasant evening in Haus Valentin’s hospitable bar. Many walks start from the doorstep and the chairlift is less than ten minutes away on foot. Office Hour is held each evening (except Wednesday) in the bar and here you can talk to our staff about walks, painting, Via Ferratas etc. whilst having a sociable pre-dinner drink.

We jointly host Haus Valentin with its owners, our great friends, the Saning family. Monica and Rainer make an excellent team in the kitchen and Cristina cleans the bedrooms. In the meantime, and without interfering, we will look after your well-being and ensure you get the best out of this magical area.

Bedrooms in Haus Valentin are all comfortable with en suite bathrooms. Some rooms have a third bed and can be used as triple rooms. Guests returning to Haus Valentin from a day out in the mountains will usually migrate to the terrace to relax amidst awe-inspiring scenery with a cup of tea or maybe something stronger from the chalet bar.

The atmosphere in the dining room and bar is informal and it is easy to unwind: people with largely common interests (and inspired by a beautiful day in the mountains) talk and laugh over good food and drink until well after coffee has been served. Over the years we have regularly been overwhelmed by the heartwarming and friendly atmosphere that prevails in our chalets. Frankly, it is a delight to witness the friendships that are built on these chalet holidays. Goodbyes amongst guests and hosts are often quite emotional!

B&B guests are welcome to join us for dinner and can pay locally when doing so. Full board is also available and includes a Collett’s packed lunch. Our chalets either have a traditional bar or a casual honesty bar. Also, there is wifi in the bar and ample parking. Towels and bed linen are provided by us.
