A Collett's Mountain Holiday – in a nutshell
Collett's offers walking holidays (and more) in Europe's most magnificent mountain ranges. You can arrive and depart on the dates of your choice in idyllic mountain resorts set against majestic backdrops. We offer half board, full board, B&B and self-catering. Choose from 4 delightful hotels, excellent apartments and 4 attractive hosted alpine chalets with amazing views and lovely en suite bedrooms.
Every day from May to late Sept. (except Weds. & Sats.) in all our destinations, we offer a harder high level walk and a moderate/easier one. In the Dolomites, there is also a daily flower walk, painting stroll and the choice of 2 Via Ferrata. You just choose day to day which walk takes your fancy. Our walks are free, optional and breathtaking. They are tried and tested gems, rich in flora, fauna and magnificent scenery.
Self guided walking is also available. Along with our unrivalled local knowledge, our Walks Files document numerous spectacular walks and Via Ferrata of all grades. At a supplement, you can do WWI Walks, Glacier Treks, Summit Ascents and the GR11 (Pyrenees) or try alpine activities. Then again, you might opt to do nothing, simply relaxing in the splendour of our enchanting mountain resorts.

We write simply to say that Kelly, Dave, Rushy and Lyn couldn't have done more to help, inform and include everyone. The descriptions of the walks provided by the staff were very accurate and honest. The walk organisers were simply superb both with the large groups and small intimate groups. They were flexible in meeting the needs of the whole group.

Collett’s Mountain Holidays was founded in 1997 offering alpine walking holidays in Italy. Initially, self guided walking holidays was our speciality. Using our unrivalled local knowledge, guests would set out from our delightful catered chalets in the Dolomites with a good packed lunch on a range of outstanding mountain walks. The company basically evolved from offering self guided walking holidays in the Alps into providing a unique mountain experience for walkers of varying interests. We now specialise in Via Ferrata holidays in the Dolomites, as well as delivering superb holidays to flower enthusiasts, casual artists and climbers. Our organised walks are free, optional and are available five days a week from May to late September. We started offering walking holidays in Spain 6 years ago, providing harder higher walking in the Pyrenees and more moderate walking in the Picos. So our walking holidays in the Pyrenees generally suit walkers of a better level of fitness, whilst our walking holidays in the Picos de Europa suit people of all abilities. As for winter holidays in the Dolomites, Collett’s is the ultimate specialist for snowshoeing holidays, winter walking holidays and catered chalet skiing holidays. With Collett’s you can also go walking in the Dales. Our delightful B&B in the Yorkshire Dales is awarded 4 stars by Visit England and is open all year round. All our destinations are mouthwatering but perhaps the key to our success is the unique holiday formula means you get just what you want from your time in a place where there is so much to see and do.

I just received yesterday a copy of the new guidebook, from Colletts! David and Cliff did a great job! I was a little worried it would have too few specimens, like the Alpine Flowers book I bought in Corvara with just 70 flowers. Mountain Flowers - The Dolomites has nearly 140, with great photos, common names in three languages, and very useful environmental information.
