For anyone interested in painting, Collett's has a resident artist, who offers informal and relaxed tuition four days a week. There are plenty of idyllic locations nearby where people can while away a few peaceful hours armed with watercolours and a paintbrush, trying to capture something of the splendour before their eyes.

Those who come to the Dolomites to paint will find potential subjects wherever they look, from the magnificent peaks with their unique shapes and colours to the delicate beauty of a single wildflower, not to mention the architectural subjects of the Tyrolean villages and hamlets with their onion-domed churches and timbered alpine chalets. These subjects are all enhanced by the area's exceptional light.

Some of our guests come here specifically to paint, both independently and with our artist; others try their hand just once, usually when taking a day off walking. Tuition is free and takes place in an atmosphere which welcomes beginners and experts alike. As with everything else we offer, it is flexible and you can exploit it as much or as little as you please.

Collett's keeps paper and painting materials for anyone wanting to have occasional tuition. If you wish to paint on a regular basis, we should be grateful if you would bring your own equipment.
