Our centre-based walking holidays are designed around you. This is as perfect for those who don’t want to walk every day, as it is for those that do, and is ideal for groups with different interests. From a wealth of expertly planned walks and a full range of accommodation options, you can create your perfect holiday with precisely the landscapes, and difficulty of walking you desire – all from one idyllic base.
All our walks are tried and tested classics, carefully grouped and graded: easy & idyllic, moderate classics or hard & challenging. You can either focus exclusively on walks in one category – or you can mix it up – pushing yourself one day and taking it easy the next. You’ll also have regular access to our resident Walks Team, who will enthusiastically help you refine your plans as you go – making sure you’re getting the most out of your stay.

Depending on the holiday you choose, your accommodation choices range from self-catering apartments at one end of the spectrum through to luxury hotels featuring spas and some of the best dining in Europe at the other!
Your Walk Pack
Collett’s is all about memorable walks. Your Walk Pack will include 6 walks of your chosen grade, plus a selection of easier or harder options depending on the itinerary you select. You’re free to explore at your own pace, safe in the knowledge that your route is a tried and tested gem, and you have everything you need to self-guide, including comprehensive route notes & maps.
The Collett’s Walk Team
No matter which accommodation you choose, you’ll always have the Collett’s Walk Team on hand to provide you with all you need to get around the mountains and their magnificent features. This is ideal if you have any questions about your itinerary, or just need some help with a particular walk. Their extensive local knowledge will enhance your stay and help you to plan your self-guided adventures.
Office Hour, a unique Collett’s experience.
A Collett’s institution, Office Hour is a chance to meet both our ‘on the ground’ staff (our Walks Team), and your fellow guests for a pre-dinner drink. Providing informal and sociable access to our extensive local knowledge, this will ensure you create a succession of unforgettable days out in the mountains.
