Skiing Holidays in the Dolomites
Your gateway to Dolomiti Superski & the Sellaronda

At 1568m, Corvara is a top ski destination in Italy’s South Tirol. It is the main resort of the Alta Badia, perhaps the most scenic valley in one of the world’s largest linked ski networks. Skiing from Corvara will simply enchant you. Above the village, miles of intermediate runs radiate the glorious Pralongia plateau, your link to a wider paradise.

Local attractions include: La Villa – with its Gran Risa (the men’s World Cup GS); the Hidden Valley – constantly heralded as the world’s most beautiful ski run; San Cassiano & Colfosco – exquisite Tirolean resorts for you to drop into.Corvara lies bang on the famed Sellaronda, providing a snowbound orbital highway, which will get you quickly to destinations such as Arabba Marmolada, Selva Val Gardena and Canazei in the Val di Fassa.

As for Collett’s, with 30 years of experience in Dolomiti Superski, we will find your perfect accommodation, nice and close to the lifts, whether you stay local or set off on the Sellaronda to clock up the miles.Navigation is easy for experienced independent skiers; pick a destination and follow the signs. You will soon be glad you came.

Whilst Corvara is good for beginners, a Collett’s Sellaronda ski holiday is for independent couples and/or groups. We book your accommodation and provide airport transfers. Also, our Winter Team is here should problems arise, but otherwise we leave you to it, so that the skiing holiday of a lifetime unfolds at your pace, within everyone’s comfort zone.

Itinerary

Our 6 Day Ski Plan is designed to showcase the highlights of Dolomiti Superski – including both the ‘must dos’ and the secret ‘quieter corners’ we have discovered over the past 25 years. Our proposals are a mix of circular tours and ‘out and backs’ which nurture orientation quickly – but ultimately you choose what to do and when to do it. Such is the waymarking here, navigation is easy: pick a destination; plot your route and follow the signs.

Day 2 - Pralongia Plateau

Pralongia Plateau
Not really a plateau at all – the perfect first day is only a short ski from Arabba.

An endless feast of blues and reds radiate into sensational snowy landscapes with awe-inspiring backdrops. Beautifully manicured, tree-lined pistes are interspersed with charming rifugios. This is a good day for local orientation.

Day 3

Orange Sella Ronda
A jewel in the crown of Dolomiti Superski that passes right through Arabba.

27kms of spectacular pistes that circumnavigate the colossal Sella massif, dropping you into fabulous resorts as you go: the Val di Fassa, the Val Gardena & Corvara.

The Hidden Valley (& Super 8 Circuit)
Today we give you the most scenic piste on the planet.

Sheer cliff faces line this wonderful red piste as it winds itself down the the awaiting horse drawn carriages.

Day 5

The Marmolada
Queen of the Dolomites – at 3343m our highest peak.

Arabba is the Dolomiti Superski’s gateway to the Marmolada and skiing from its summit on a 12km red run will surely be a highlight of your stay.
The mountain towers behind Arabba, if looking from the north. You cannot see it from the village itself, but you will have certainly enjoyed views of it on all three of our proposals so far.
