Last week we welcomed two old friends from Arabba to our offices in Saffron Walden – Mario and Omar. If you have been on a skiing holiday in Arabba you will almost certainly recognise Mario, an ever-popular, English-speaking instructor at the ski school. During their short stay we discussed new initiatives concerning our ski safaris in the Dolomites, including the introduction of private and gastronomic hut to hut ski tours.
It wasn’t all work and we had time to show them some traditional pubs and introduce them to some interesting real ales, which seemed to go down well. However, we weren’t so British when it came to eating, finding ourselves in the Indian on their first night, eating Sushi for lunch the following day and finally at a Thai restaurant for dinner on their final night. Mind you, they willingly tucked into the full English breakfasts at their hotel.
