Bumper Snowfall in the Dolomites

15 December 2017

Early snow started to fall heavily at the beginning of November which enabled Dolomiti Superski to open their pistes early this year. Snow continued to fall throughout November and early December.

Overnight we have had another 20cm in Badia & Corvara and nearly 30cm in Arabba – with our winter season starting tomorrow, we are, of course, delighted! There is a further 30cm of snow forecast for Monday – this really is turning into a bumper spell of snow for the winter season and those arriving next week dreaming of a white Christmas will find the reality of a magical winter wonderland!

Current temperatures are between -3° to -14°c which are optimum for piste preparation. The Sella Ronda is open in both directions and there are already 1000 kilometers of piste open throughout Dolomiti Superski. For the last two weeks, our team of ski hosts, snowshoe organisers and chalet hosts have been preparing everything for our first guests imminent arrival. Routes have been studied and checked, snowshoeing itineraries have been enjoyed and glühwein sampled! You can see from our photos and webcams below, just how spectacular the conditions are for this winter in the Dolomites.

We still have some availability for the first two weeks of January on our winter skiing and snowshoeing holidaysClick here for availability.
