Location & Views – Chalet Hotel Roch enjoys an attractive and tranquil spot less than 10 minutes walk from the village centre and the 2 gondalas that provide walkers with access to higher trailheads. If you are walking from the nearby Gardena Pass, Falzarego Pass or a neighbouring village, the bus stop is less than 5 minutes on foot. Within 2 minutes of the door, you can be strolling in extensive flower-rich pastures that flank the village and stretch out amidst breathtaking scenery. Towered over by Sassongher (2665m), Chalet Roch has sensational views in all directions. Prepare to be captivated for hours.

The Chalet Hotel – This is a warm and welcoming ‘garni’ which translates as ‘guest house’ or large B&B. It has 14 bedrooms, each with a balcony, from which you will enjoy astounding views. More than half the bedrooms are allocated to Collett’s and come with a fabulous 4 course dinner just over the road at Hotel Christian, where we have our own delightful dining area. The house is traditional and Tyrolean: welcoming, warm and hospitable; big enough to feel like you are in a small hotel, small enough to be a comfy  ‘home from home.’ Well-presented and immaculately clean, it has charm and character.

Buon Appetito! – This is a holiday of gastronomic excellence. Firstly, Petra’s breakfasts are generous and impressive, ensuring all guests venture out fully fuelled up. Secondly, we have a lovely collaboration with Petra’s friend and neighbour, Christian, owner of the Hotel Christian, where you will enjoy wonderful 4 course dinners in our own exclusive dining area.

Your Hosts – Chalet Hotel Roch is family-run. Our old friend, Petra, manages the house with delightful enthusiasm and energy – assisted by her mother, Erika, who is slower but just as vibrant – and her husband, Gunther, who runs a popular Sports Shop, a mile up the road in Colfosco. Our Walk Advisors are always dropping in to say hello, hosting Office Hour regularly in the bar, so that their local knowledge can help you with everything walks-related and more. *Petra manages the house almost single-handedly, she closes the bar at 10pm, unless it is being used, in which case she will close at 10.30pm. Also, Petra has cats which occasionally enter areas on the ground floor, so think twice if you have cat-related allergies.
