Our resorts in the Alta Badia lie in a paradise for walkers with different levels of fitness and ambition. Intermediate walkers are sure to thrive on the many waymarked paths, with wend their way at low and medium altitude between picturesque hamlets and villages. High level walkers will be inspired by the drama of the high trails interspersed with remote and hospitable mountain huts. Flower enthusiasts will be enthralled by the profusion of colour and rare species that carpet the meadows and upland pastures. And those who come for the Via Ferrata cannot fail to be exhilarated by the thrills of the cables, ladders and gorge-spanning bridges.
Your holiday is sure to be enhanced by our own walkers, flower enthusiasts, Via Ferrata specialists and artists. Throughout the summer they offer walks every day (except Wednesdays and Saturdays). They are free, entirely optional and unfailingly breathtaking. We set out shortly after breakfast with a packed lunch (which we eat at a splendid vantage point) and generally return to the village in the mid or late afternoon, depending on the route and its location. You simply choose day to day whichever itinerary takes your fancy. This is what we offer on a daily basis:
Five days a week, free of charge and totally optional
Collett's organises stunning low and medium level walks. Walk in breathtaking alpine scenery in the good company of other Collett's guests. Enjoy upland meadows, woodland, riverside trails and some of the easier high level paths. We might drop in on one of our favourite mountain rifugios for a drink or a snack before or after finding somewhere suitable to enjoy a packed lunch.
Five days a week, free of charge and totally optional - High trails that venture into the awe-inspiring Dolomite massifs. Sensational panoramas. Walking experiences of a lifetime. An extensive network of trails. Many of our high level walks venture into two majestic high level National Parks, the Puez Odle and the Fanes, both punctuated by a labyrinth of remote waymarked trails and interspersed with hospitable rifugios.
Dolomites Only - In June and July when the flora is at its best, we organise five flower walks a week with a dedicated enthusiast who has an intimate knowledge of the flora. Most walks are low or medium level & some may be 'static' - the day is spent in one location of specific excellence. Our botanists are accomplished floral photographers. In the evening, they offer the occasional talk or slide show.
Dolomites Only - While away a few hours with our resident artist, whatever your standard. Take a short stroll to somewhere idyllic, rife with subject matter, armed with paper, watercolours and a packed lunch.
Dolomites Only - Via Ferrata are a range of protected scrambling routes, comprised of skilfully installed fixed cables, ladders and gorge-spanning bridges, which assist ascents to high levels, from which you walk on, often to a nearby rifugio, or back to the starting point via a path. Corvara and Pedraces Badia are close to many of the best routes in the Dolomites.

We are used to looking after walking groups and clubs and can help put together memorable holidays. We are happy to offer larger parties a dedicated programme of Organised Walks or, if you prefer, plenty of Ideas & Information from which to walk independently.
Please note that you join our Organised Walks and make use of our ideas & information at your own risk. It is important that you understand that whilst our Walk Organisers have substantial local knowledge and are familiar with the routes which our Organised Walks follow, they are not qualified mountain guides.
