There are other activities in the area, whether you seek an adrenalin rush or something relaxing and different. Near Haus Valentin in Pedraces there is Lake Sompunt, a pretty frozen lake with magnificent valley views, where you can while away an afternoon curling. In the evenings it is open for ice skating, which can also be enjoyed at Arabba's outdoor rink and Corvara's new indoor arena. If the thrill of tobogganing is still in the blood, you can hurtle through the woods on a spectacular 3.5km 'pisted' toboggan track at nearby San Cassiano; or try the 10km run from Santa Croce above Pedraces all the way to the village of La Val. And if this is not enough, there's the Olympic bobsled run at Cortina. At Corvara, tandem paragliding gives you the chance to hover over the winter landscape. And in both Pedraces and Arabba, we have arrangements in place with local guides for anyone interested in ski mountaineering and ice climbing.
