Winter Walking in the Dolomites
Organised winter walking with Collett's
We offer several organised winter walks during the week. These are free of charge and optional. Pedraces Badia is an ideal base for walkers, offering excellent 'from-the-door' access to many delightful winter trails and a good range of different itineraries to suit individual preferences. Corvara is also an excellent base for walkers who can follow the river as far as Pedraces or walk under the dramatic north flanks of the Sella. Or they can wander up the road to the Col Alt telecabines, which will whisk them up to the Pralongia Plateau where they can enjoy more walks and or snowshoeing itineraries.

bbc books ~ unforgettable walks to take before you die
'Young, jagged and imposing, the Dolomites are perhaps the most striking mountains in Europe. Although they are a stunning location for summer hiking, they are at their most sublime in winter. Stepping into a pair of snowshoes might feel strange at first, but it will allow you to walk to parts of this snowbound wonderland that are normally reserved for mountaineers and extreme skiers.'
