Other Alpine Activities in the Italian Dolomites
Paragliding, Horseriding, Canyoning, White Water Rafting, glacier treks
The Dolomites offer many other options for the active holidaymaker, all rendered unforgettable by the magnificent scenery. Whether you want an adrenalin rush or something more relaxing, there are other interesting and diverse angles from which you can enjoy these mountains.Collett's offers two professionally guided excursions on the Marmolada glacier, see below or click here for more details; Guided Glacier & Summmit Treks. The High Rope Garden at the Colfosco is a ‘must’, but not for the faint-hearted. Even if you do have a head for heights, it will take your breath away at some point. You cannot fail to be exhilarated by the cables, bridges, cargo nets and ladders, all suspended high above the ground, not to mention the amazing flying fox zip wires. In the Val Pusteria, there is whitewater rafting and canyoning, whilst in Corvara, tandem paragliding is available.

Mountain bikes can be hired locally and we can supply you with routes to suit different levels of fitness. For more gentle options, you could try boating at Lake Alleghe or golf at the Campolongo Pass just above Arabba and Corvara on Europe's second highest course, where even the most focused will be driven to distraction by the awesome backdrops. There is outdoor swimming at Corvara and indoor swimming at La Villa and Canazei. Perhaps the most enchanting way of enjoying these landscapes is to get on a horse and hack out on to the plains above the lowland valleys. Horse riding is available at Longiaru and Pedraces.

Other available activities include ice skating, tennis, hydrospeed, kayaking, sport climbing and road cycling. Whatever it is you would like to do, come and see us and we will be happy to give you all the relevant details, make any necessary booking calls and arrange it for you.
