Excellent instructions and information regarding the airport transfers. Great hotel (Garni Tofano) with comfy bed, well heated and spotlessly clean room and bathroom facilities. Enjoyed a good breakfast at Garni Tofano and superb dinners at Hotel Christian. I enjoyed the short walk in my hiking boots from hotel to the Bor ski-hire and left my gear and boots to dry overnight, almost felt like ski in/out. The trip was great value and I’m planning to book another adventure with Collett’s.

Another wonderful week in Corvara.
Clean friendly hotel. Good breakfast. Excellent food in hotel. No need for ski plan as we are frequent visitors. Pistes busier than usual but still very few queues and always found a great lunch. Ski hire and locker worked well so minimal ski-boot walking. We will return.

Wonderful holiday in the most lovely garni – the staff were beyond friendly and provided beautiful accommodation with a perfect skier’s breakfast every morning. Short walk to the village and slopes. Can’t fault a thing – many thanks to Colletts!

Yes, Corvara is one of the best resorts in the Dolomites for beginners. The surrounding Alta Badia area is known for its wide, gentle pistes, excellent grooming and well-regarded ski schools. Many slopes are confidence-building blues and easy reds, making it an ideal place to learn or improve without feeling pressured by steep terrain.
Corvara has an excellent reputation, thanks to its altitude and one of the most comprehensive snowmaking systems in the Alps. The Alta Badia is known for immaculate piste preparation, ensuring excellent skiing conditions even in milder winters. While it doesn’t have glacier skiing, conditions are usually dependable throughout the season.
Yes, Corvara is very family-friendly, with gentle slopes, excellent ski schools and good childcare options. The village is compact and easy to get around, and many hotels cater specifically to families. The calm atmosphere and safe, well-maintained pistes make it a popular choice for family ski holidays.
Our holidays don’t include flights, so you would need to organise these directly. We have guests joining us from all corners of the UK, and further afield too, and airport transfers from/to Venice Marco Polo are included each Saturday.
