A similar format is available on guided walking holidays in the Pyrenees, namely our GR11 walking tourPyrenean Classics and Pyrenees Peaks & Passes walking holidays, while our Canyons of the Sierra de Guara walking holiday is a twin-centre option rich in Christian and Moorish history.

Our centre-based walking holidays in the Pyrenees

The Pyrenees stretch for 480km from the Atlantic coast across to the Mediterranean, forming an impressive natural frontier between France and Spain. Old trading, pilgrim and smuggling routes thread the mountain cols, whilst the wonderfully exposed ‘fajas’ of the Ordesa canyon are the ultimate in high level exhilaration.

Our guided holidays in the Pyrenees vary from iconic long-distance routes such as the GR11, which is mouth-watering adventure for fitter hikers, to classic Pyrenean trails, which are a mountain paradise for moderate walkers, who seek out manageable high trails in the stunning surroundings of the Valle de Tena, not to mention the peaks of France and Spain’s iconic frontier ridge.

Our base for each of these holidays is the charming village of Panticosa. This historic mountain village is towered over by the majestic peaks of the Valle de Tena, our home in the Pyrenees, a chaotic jigsaw of wild rock formations, many soaring effortlessly above 3000m.

Our centre-based walking holiday in Andalucia

Based in the white-washed village of Canillas de Albaida, our guided walking holiday in Andalucia takes you to the relatively unknown Sierra de Tejeda, with its ancient oak woods, Roman bridges, vineyards, olive groves, and waterfalls.

Enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean coast, Sierra Nevada, and Morocco’s distant Atlas Mountains during your daily walks – all whilst experiencing the rich Moorish culture and exceptional cuisine of the region.

Walk from village-to-village along the Spain’s quieter coastlines

We offer two coastal village-to-village walking holidays in Spain. Firstly, our 7-night self-guided hike from Collioure to Cadaqués, (Colliaure being in France, Cadaques being in Spain) hugs the shores of the glittering Mediterranean, passing hidden coves and including some magnificent cliff-top trails, before relaxing evenings in handpicked accommodation located in quaint coastal villages or vibrant fishing ports, rich in a very particular local culture and heritage. This holiday also provides the daily option of a more demanding walk that is effectively an inspirational foray into the foothills of the Pyrenees, that characterise this heavenly coastal area.

Otherwise, there is the quieter Northern section of the iconic Camino de Santiago, which exposes you to the coastal drama and charm of Spain’s Costa Verde before heading inland towards historic Guernika. This lesser-frequented section of the Camino is an invigorating hiking adventure of glorious coastal views, characterful fishing ports, the occasional stretch of sandy beach, and a night in unforgettable San Sebastian.
