Ski Safari was great
Ski Safari was great - a very different way to experience the Dolomites. Our guides and host were all very welcoming, enthusiastic and fun. The group was split into 2 groups of 7 which worked very well. The accommodation varied from basic bunk rooms to very comfortable en suite bedrooms. We knew this was going to be the arrangement and it was fine. The food was always great and very plentiful. Lots of wine and Bombardinos. We had to carry our large backpacks down short runs to the nearest lift, which really made you concentrate on getting your weight right and controlling speed. I had an injury which stopped me skiing after 3 days. This could have been a problem as we stayed in different places each night. However I was very well looked after, supported by the Collett's host on my trip to hospital, and then the guides arranged transport round the different Refugios by Skidoo, ski lift, minibus and taxi, so I was able to meet up with everyone in the evening.
