UK Walking Holidays

We have searched the length and breadth of the country to find the very best in UK walking. After 23 years of providing the best walking holidays in Europe we thought it was time to showcase what our own shores have to offer. Our new UK locations have all been tried and tested and we are happy to welcome you to every corner of our little island.

Visiting some of our national parks and other areas of outstanding natural beauty, we have chosen some UK classics and created some of our own truly unique walking routes. From rivers and forests to coasts and mountains we’ve got you covered; whether you’re looking for quaint villages frozen in time, or cultural monuments to engage an enchant, there’s a Collett’s UK walking break for you.

The Most Scenic Locations Across Britain

For centuries, the UK landscape has inspired poets, artists, novelists and architects to create some of the very best in cultural achievements. From Beatrix Potter in the Lake District to Samuel Taylor Coleridge in Exmoor, these and other greats from our literary past took inspiration from all over the UK to create their masterpieces.

You can take the chance to visit places of historical significance such as Chatsworth House, with its stunning collection of artwork, in the Peak District. Monuments like Bamburgh Castle, that have stood guard protecting our shores since the medieval period, in Northumberland. And picture postcard villages for instance Bourton-On-The-Water with traditions dating back centuries, in The Cotswolds.

Our range of UK walking breaks, will take you to some of the most incredible locations on our island, over Haystacks in the Lake District, so perfect a location Alfred Wainwright had his ashes scattered there. Across the Long Mynd in Shropshire, with its array of wildlife and along the Cotswold Way one of the most famous walking trails in the world. From the sea cliffs of Devon and Exmoor to the sand dunes of Northumberland, we have a wide range of holidays to suit everyone.
