Organised & Self-guided Walking with a Genuine Specialist
Excellent tour operator
Due to the heavy snow, we had to get up at 3:30am (!) to be ferried down to Chalet Verena to meet the coach. There was lots of snow so this seemed a safe option. In the event we arrived at Venice 3 hours before our flight. Nice coach, good/safe driver and a stop on the way. Excellent tour operator. Lovely people in the office and resort. Lovely chalet with good en-suite facilities. Mini-bus transport if required e.g. to the ski-shop. Not that expensive (£660 + £125 flight = £785). Overall, we had a great holiday. This is the third year running with Collett's in Chalet Angelo - so you must be doing something right! Thank you for being so welcoming and providing such a good product. Also, we find that the mountain restaurants in the area are better than France and not as expensive. We've done France many times and the Dolomites area is much more interesting, with lovely people and good value for money. In Corvara, I think the ski-hire shop (Kostner) does not have enough skis to rent out. Luckily, we had taken the trouble to pre-book so the shop kept a pair of "suitable" skis for each of us. However, when some of our group wanted to change skis mid-week, there was very little choice and the person changing had to make-do with what was left. Of course, we arrive late on a Sunday and by Monday morning most of the good skis have gone. And I did like the hassle-free way of dealing with the lift pass. You get all the passes for us and we just pay you at the end of the week. Very easy.
