The Italian Dolomites are perhaps the most beautiful mountains in the world. This landscape becomes absolutely magical when the snow falls. At every turn you will be struck by the sheer magnificence of these colossal natural monuments, whether you come here to walk, snowshoe, ski or just spend time in a real winter wonderland.
The backdrops are awe-inspiring. Skiers interrupt descents of tree-lined pistes or sit mesmerised on chairlifts. In the valleys, walkers and cross-country skiers gaze up in awe from winter trails, whilst snowshoers venture into the rocky reaches of the massifs themselves for a real close-up. Others stare from the sun terraces of mountain huts or village cafes with hands cupped around a gluhwein or a hot chocolate.
