Nestled spectacularly under Sassongher (the towering south eastern turret of the Puez Odle National Park, which dominates this landscape) and the Sella, Corvara is the high profile village of the Alta Badia. Back in the nineteenth century it was the chosen destination of several pioneering British mountaineers, such is its proximity to some of the area's great peaks.
Nowadays, along with its key position and idyllic setting, it is the shops and facilities (including swimming lake, outdoor climbing wall and ice rink) that make it so attractive to walkers and mountain lovers.
Newly built, Chalet Verena provides modern and comfortable accommodation with eleven delightful en suite double bedrooms. The views from the chalet and it’s sizeable garden are breathtaking and can absorb you for hours.
The chalet is a stone's throw away from the village centre with its charming cafes and shops, and just yards from a wooden bridge that crosses the river to the extensive flower meadows that gently undulate under the canyon-like walls of the Sella up to the Gardena Pass.
Office Hour is held at Chalet Bracun, a five minute walk. Here you can join organised walks, flower walks, Via Ferratas, painting, cooking etc. Or, if you prefer to do your own thing, our staff will be happy to offer you advice and suggestions. For a daily fee of €5, you can use the health spa at Chalet Bracun.
