In
Chalets Karin and Brigitta, you can either stay half-board or Bed
& Breakfast. All the bedrooms are en suite and, in the case
of Chalet Brigitta, theyalso have satellite T.V. and a small fridge.
We serve a good breakfast daily and six evenings a week, our first
class cooks, who also host the chalets, serve a three course dinner
with wine included. Dinner is relaxed and informal and anyone staying
on a B&B basis is welcome to eat in and can settle up locally.
You can imagine the friendly atmosphere as people sit around the
table eating and drinking after an enthralling day out in the mountains.

Chalet
Karin is a delightful chalet and it occupies a prime south-facing
location in the village square opposite the church. French windows
open off both the kitchen and dining room onto a vast balcony, which
flanks two sides of the chalet and from here you can spend hours
just watching the world go by or gazing up in all directions at
breathtaking mountain views. |

The
bedrooms are modern, attractive and en suite. The dining room is
on the first floor and is light and sunny most of the day. Most
of the summer the French windows are open so that people can have
breakfast on the balcony if they choose. In the evening our guests
often gather on the balcony for a pre-dinner drink, whilst watching
the glorious sunset on the Col di Lana. On the second floor there
is a sitting room with French windows to a balcony, where you can
relax with a drink and a book, whilst being voluntarily distracted
by the dramatic view up to Sass Capello and the Porto Vescovo ridge. |
 |
We
have a soft spot for Chalet Karin, because it was the original Collett's
chalet. Dee (my wife) and I remember welcoming the first ever Collett's
guests to Arabba at the front door of Karin back in the mid 1990's

Chalet
Brigitta is another delightful chalet just 300m from the Arabba's
village square, so it is a short walk to Café Peter, should
you wish to drop in to Office Hour. The chalet stands at the top
of the old village and commands beautiful views of the dramatic
Porto Vescovo ridge to the south, the towering walls of the Sella
to the north and over the village to the Col di Lana to the east. |
 |
The
bedrooms are spacious, modern and attractive. All have lovely en
suites, a small fridge, a safe and satellite T.V. On the ground
floor is the dining room and living area, which was finished by
expert Austrian carpenters to give it an authentic alpine character.
Consequently, it is a warm and welcoming place, where you can have
a relaxed and sociable holiday. |
 |
In
the chalets, a home from home atmosphere prevails; there is a self
service bar and you can help yourself to tea or coffee as and when
you please. Dotted around the living areas there are maps, books
and, of course, copies of our 'Ideas & Information Files'. Furthermore,
whilst our hosts will keep you well fed and ensure your comfort
and well-being, they are also walkers with a passion for the mountains
and will therefore be a great source of help and local information.
