Walking holidays in the Dolomites with Collett’s don’t have to be exclusively about walking in Italy's most beautiful mountains. The Dolomites offer many other options for the active alpine holidaymaker, all rendered unforgettable by the magnificent scenery. Our flexible holiday formula allows you to enjoy these alpine activities as much or as little as you like - whether you want an adrenalin rush or something more relaxing. Whilst most guests join Collett’s so that they can enjoy walking in the Dolomites, we are used to helping people participate in locally supplied alpine activities. Simply drop into Office Hour and we will be happy to help you book the activity that takes your fancy.

The High Ropes Garden at Colfosco is a ‘must’, but not for the faint-hearted. Even if you do have a head for heights, it will take your breath away at some point. You cannot fail to be exhilarated by the cables, bridges, cargo nets and ladders, all suspended high above the ground, not to mention the amazing flying fox zip wires. In the Val Pusteria, there is whitewater rafting and canyoning, whilst in Corvara, tandem paragliding is available.

Mountain and road bikes can be hired locally and we can supply you with routes to suit different levels of fitness. For more gentle options, you could try boating at Lake Alleghe or golf at the Campolongo Pass just above Arabba and Corvara on Europe's second highest course, where even the most focused will be driven to distraction by the awesome backdrops. There is outdoor swimming at Corvara and indoor swimming at La Villa and Canazei. Perhaps the most enchanting way of enjoying these landscapes is to get on a horse and hack out on to the plains above the lowland valleys. Horse riding is available at Longiaru and Pedraces.

Other available activities include ice skating, tennis, hydrospeed, kayaking, sport climbing and road cycling. Whatever it is you would like to do, come and see us and we will be happy to give you all the relevant details, make any necessary booking calls and arrange it for you.

Please note that you join our Organised Itineraries and make use of our ideas & information at your own risk. It is important that you understand that whilst our Organisers have substantial local knowledge and are familiar with the routes which our Organised Walks follow, they are not qualified mountain guides.
